“Mean” Joe Greene is a former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle who played 13 seasons for the team from 1969-1981. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1987 for his tremendous plays and skills as a member of the famous Steel Curtain defense.
When Super Bowl X was played on January 18, 1976, the Steelers and the Cowboys wore special commemorative Bicentennial patches on their jerseys. The game was one of the first in a series of special events around the United States in 1976 to observe the 200th Anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence.
This authentic jersey features heavy-duty polyester knit fabric and tackle twill numbers and nameplate, making it identical to the jersey that Joe wore on the field.
